The BAY Team is Barrington Adult-Youth Team, a prevention coalition with a mission to promote a safe and healthy community through communication and collaboration to prevent substance abuse.
Rhode Island Regional Coalitions
The Rhode Island Regional Coalitions are comprised of seven regions covering the state. The coalitions represents parents, youth, law enforcement, schools, healthcare, businesses, government officials and community leaders. We assess the region’s substance use challenges and work together to develop policies and programs using evidence-based practices.

East Bay Regional Coalition
Overseen by the BAY team, the East Bay Regional Coalition is comprised of members of municipal prevention coalitions and other community stakeholders from Barrington, Bristol, East Providence, and Warren.
The Coalition views prevention through a broad lens that accounts for similarities and differences between cities and towns, incorporates holistic health promotion and substance misuse prevention strategies across the lifespan, and coordinates media and events that endeavor to increase collaboration and sustain prevention activities across the region.
Department of Behavioral Healthcare Developmental Disabilities & Hospitals
The Rhode Island Prevention Coalitions are funded through BHDDH. BHDDH guarantees high-quality, safe, and accessible health care services for all individuals with differing intellectual/developmental abilities, mental health or substance use disorders, or who are in the care of facilities administered by BHDDH through an integrated healthcare landscape, in which all Rhode Islanders will thrive.
